elecell lnc. has been selected as a 'Kibo-Star Valley Enterprise,' an innovation company nurturing program by the Korea Technology Guarantee Fund (Kibo).

Kibo's 'Kibo-Star Valley Enterprise' is a flagship program that identifies promising startups with outstanding technological capabilities and growth potential to support their scale-up. It is operated in collaboration with the Seoul Business Agency (SBA), targeting innovative companies with high potential for global expansion. This selection holds particular significance as it marks the first instance of the project being conducted under the SBA-tailored Kibo-Star Valley Enterprise program (linked to overseas expansion programs).

elecell was named an innovative company in the bio-healthcare sector in this selection, recognized for its technological prowess in electrical stimulation-based chronic wound treatment medical devices and its future growth potential.

elecell is developing next-generation electrical stimulation therapy technology to promote human tissue regeneration and wound healing, and is continuing its research and development with the goal of improving treatment efficiency for chronic wound patients and addressing unmet needs in the medical field. In particular, it is reported that the high evaluation of its potential to enter the global medical device market based on its proprietary electrical stimulation platform technology and bio-convergence technology was a major factor in this selection.

In addition, elecell is preparing to launch a product this year based on FDA Class I approval, and plans to accelerate the expansion of its overseas business by entering global markets including the United States, China, Saudi Arabia, and Thailand.

Kibo plans to provide various financial and non-financial support programs to selected companies, such as preferential guarantee limits, increased guarantee ratios, and reduced guarantee fees, and to actively support the commercialization and global competitiveness of technology-based startups through these measures.

An official from elecell (CEO Hyung-seop Han) stated, “The selection as a Kibo-Star Valley company is a meaningful achievement that externally recognizes the company’s technological capabilities and growth potential,” adding, “We will continue to strengthen our competitiveness in the global bio-healthcare market through the development of innovative medical devices.”

Meanwhile, the award ceremony was held at the Kibo Seoul office on the 27th, attended by officials from Kibo and the Seoul Economic Promotion Agency as well as representatives of the selected companies, who shared future growth strategies and cooperation plans.
